Youth Symposium

Our Youth Symposium offers a comprehensive, standardized program that is going to be used nationwide. It is designed to address pressing issues affecting our youth, such as drugs, teen violence, abuse, self-esteem, and more. Join us in empowering and creating a positive and safe space for our future leaders.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority is dedicated to enriching our community through public service, leadership development, and youth education. Our Youth Symposium is one of our National Essential Programs, held annually on the second Saturday of March by Alumnae Chapters worldwide during Sigma Week.

Our symposium addresses critical issues related to STEAM Education (an approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking), health and wellness, social action/justice, education, career planning, financial literacy, and culture. It aims to tackle prevalent concerns affecting our youth, including drugs, teen violence, abuse, self-esteem, and more.
